Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-03-26

Get Image Info (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle data when you use our website and tools (image analyzer, compressor, and resizer).

1. Image processing and what we collect

We offer three types of image processing:

  • Metadata analysis: When you use the image analyzer, your image file is uploaded to our server. We process it to extract EXIF, XMP, IPTC, ICC, and other metadata. The file is immediately deleted after processing. We do not store, copy, or retain your images. We do not build profiles from image content.
  • Image compression: Compression runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your images are never uploaded to our server. All processing happens on your device; we do not receive or store compressed files.
  • Image resizing: Resizing also runs entirely in your browser. Your images are never uploaded. We do not receive or store resized files.

We may collect standard server logs (e.g. IP address, browser type, referring URL, request time) as with any website. These logs help us operate and secure the service. We do not link them to your image content.

2. Cookies and local storage

We may use session or persistent cookies to remember preferences (e.g. theme or language) and to operate the site. Third-party advertising (e.g. Google AdSense) may set cookies for ad delivery and measurement. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Local storage in your browser may be used by our tools for temporary data during a session; we do not use it to store your images permanently.

3. Advertising

We may show ads (e.g. via Google AdSense). Ad providers have their own privacy and cookie policies and may collect data for personalized advertising. You can manage ad preferences and opt out of personalized ads through your Google account or browser settings. See Google’s advertising policy for details.

4. Data retention

Uploaded image files for metadata analysis are deleted immediately after processing. Server logs may be retained for a limited period for security and operations. We do not retain image content. Data in your browser (cookies, local storage) remains until you clear it or until it expires.

5. Your choices and rights

You can disable or delete cookies in your browser. You can opt out of personalized advertising via Google’s ad settings. If you are in a jurisdiction that grants rights (e.g. access, correction, deletion, portability), you may contact us to exercise them to the extent we hold relevant data. We do not sell your personal data.

6. Children’s privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it as required.

7. Where data is processed

Our servers and service providers may be located in different countries. By using the site, you consent to the transfer and processing of data in those locations, where applicable law permits.

8. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the site and data we process. We do not guarantee absolute security. We do not collect payment or health data; image files are not stored after analysis.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

10. Contact
